An honors graduate of Harvard University, Ann Cameron is the author of 17 books, including the children’s classic The Stories Julian Tells, and The Secret Life of Amanda K. Woods, a finalist for the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. With her late husband, Bill Cherry, Ann developed a community library in Panajachel, Guatemala of 13,000 books in Spanish, to serve people of the region from toddlers to university students.
When colon cancer metastasized to her lungs in November, 2012, Ann cured it by drinking carrot juice. She has been cancer free since March of 2013. She enjoys swimming, biking, reading and research. She divides her time between Portland, Oregon and Panajachel.
